OUR JOURNEY​

 

Our journey began out of frustration to track down the kiwi roast aka fish n chips. After the constant search for light fluffy freshly beer battered fish and golden crunchy chips that wasn't swimming in week old oil soon became only a wish and every time we got our hopes up were let down .... the decision was then made "if we can't find it, we will make it" so Milly (aka the Big Cheese) set about creating what we call today ... The Fish and Chippery! Ta daaa! Your go to place for decent fish and chips that's 100% kiwi owned and operated!

 

Cracking the whip Milly soon went to work gathering the freshest ingredients from all over the country -large free range eggs from Huntly, fresh gourmet mince from Hamilton (aka the Tron), hand made craft beer batter, fish caught from the Deep South (they don't just produce rugby players), fresh produce from the markets and buns that are baked fresh daily!

 

Our menu often gets the once over, as Milly continues to create new and exciting food options with our promise to you, "we will always deliver the freshest bestest (is that even a word?) Fish and Chips that will have you mmmmmmm'ing each time you take a bite"
